Unihertz puts its smallest physical-keyboard phone yet up for crowdfunding
The Unihertz Titan Pocket is now being hyped as the world's smallest phone with both a physical keyboard and Android 11. Its maker thus asserts that it improves on its predecessor in being smaller and lighter yet retaining a lot of specs that consumers might want to see in this "unique" smartphone.
They include a comprehensive gamut of wireless comms, such as NFC, in-built GPS and Bluetooth (albeit of the 4.1 standard). Then again, its party piece in this respect just might be its IR blaster, a feature that is not included even in the most expensive of smartphones any more.
It would make for a potential universal remote (for example) that would be very small indeed. Unihertz has left room for a 3.1-inch screen (the type of which is not given) of a 716x720 resolution (which could thus be called HD-) above its physical keyboard.
Therefore, the Titan Pocket might resemble a very small BlackBerry - albeit one that also has a ruggized case, a 3.5mm jack and runs on the MediaTek Helio P70 SoC with 6GB of RAM. Unihertz has also packed microSD card support, "global" LTE and a 4000mAh battery into the tiny feature-phone.
