New Delhi | Jagran Lifestyle Desk: People across the world will witness the first Solar Eclipse, also known as ‘Surya Grahan’ in Hindi, of 2020 on June 21. The first Solar Eclipse of 2020 will be visible in India from 91.5 am on June 21 and continue till 3:04 pm. The Solar Eclipse will be at its maximum extent at 12.10 pm.
The Solar Eclipse in 2020 will be an ‘annular Solar Eclipse’ which occurs only when the moon covers the sun partially because it is smaller than the sun because of its apparent size. This Solar Eclipse is important because it will happen on the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice.
