Money in Excel is now available for Microsoft 365 subscribers
Microsoft has officially launched Money in Excel, a new feature arriving in the form of a template for Excel. Money in Excel was first announced alongside the consumer versions of Microsoft 365, and it's available exclusively to those who have subscribed to the plans, and only in the United States. To use Money in Excel, you'll first need to install the template and then set it up by linking your bank accounts through a plug-in supported by Plaid. Once linked, Excel will be able to pull in data for all of your transactions, giving you an overview of your spending and income across all of your accounts. The template includes features like Monthly Snapshot, which presents an overview of your spending for the current month. It lets you compare your spending habits against the prior month, and it sorts purchases by category so you can see where your money is going. The template is customizable, so you can create your own spending categories, or create charts to visualize specific kinds of data that aren't included by default. You can also copy any transactions to a separate spreadsheet if you need to do specific calculations.
