Reports of the Sunnyvale suicide involving a google employee started making rounds on some forums frequented by people who work in tech.

In 2023, Desirae Andersen plunged to her death from a hotel near Times Square following an argument with her boyfriend on May 2.

Its followed a vicious argument with her 24 year boyfriend Tyler Griffen. Andersen and her daughter were staying in a room in the Oyo Hotel when an argument broke out and spilled into the hallway.

Griffen, who was arrested and charged with assault and reckless endangerment, admitted at his arraignment that he remembered punching his girlfriend but was not arrested for her death.

Prosecutors said during the fight he also pushed the eight-month old daughter down a flight of stairs, but she was saved by other hotel guests and not injured.
