I fell in love with their first "smart watch" some 15 years ago that had a dedicated Sim. Looked really slick too. Didn't bat an eye when others like Samsung came out with "Sim" models. Think it was the LG GD910
LG's Android skin was god-awful. It was basically unusable. Their hardware wasn't great either. The only phone I have ever had a physical defect that required a warranty replacement was the Nexus 5X made by LG. It boot-looped on me when it was less than 6 months old. It's not just that phone with issues either. They have had so many problems with bad hardware. Plus, they always did dumb stuff that nobody wanted. Like the modular G5 as an example.
I've had an LG phone which I used to ran LG stock skin and LineageOS as an experiment. Both are very similar in terms of performance and usability, both have their positive and negative sides. Also, LG skin was amazingly stable, I had a phone that went 8K hours (~11 months) without a reboot.
