Almost 2 weeks ago I posted here that our company decided to end work from home / remote work starting in October making everyone work from the office full time, 5 days a week.

Well since that happened we gathered everyone and made the entire IT department resign, including myself. They start posting jobs on LinkedIn making sure that the job was full onsite. After almost 1 week they got almost zero applicants.

Now they decided to go back and announce it was a bad ideia and so we are allowed to continue working from home, going to the office at least 1 per week. But we still weren’t happy so we made the company agreed to change our contracts completely stating that working from home / hybrid work should be part of our position. They agreed.

Despite that I have colleagues that are really leaving because they are on the process of getting full remote jobs and I believe I will do the same. I wanted to share this to show that we can’t allow companies to have full control of our work and allow them to damage our lives. Please always fight for what you believe is right!
