The character’s sudden pivot from an unassuming professional to a determined avenger captivated audiences when the movie’s trailer dropped just three weeks ago.
Now, allegedly, a real-life parallel has emerged. Luigi Mangione, a software developer known for his work on popular video games like Civilization VI, has become the prime suspect in the shocking shooting of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO Brian Thompson, a crime that occurred just days ago, Dec 4. Until now, known as a “computer guy,” but now Mangione finds himself at the center of a criminal investigation.
Adding to the intrigue, investigators discovered shell casings and bullets at the scene, inscribed with the words "Delay," "Deny," and "Depose."
