Track Affiliate Sales of your Stripe Products – Part time VA
A while back my wife launched her first digital product, which was a webinar called Love Yourself First. After seeing it, her supervisor gave her a proposition: she wanted to be an affiliate.
An affiliate is someone who sells your product for you in return for a cut of the proceeds. Sometimes the cut is quite a lot, but it’s still worth it. Here’s why:
Not only that, but once someone has bought something from you once, they’re more likely to buy something else from you in future, and they might come directly to you.
So whilst it might feel uncomfortable giving an affiliate a cut of your hard earned money, it totally works out in the long run.
At this point my wife wasn’t making a lot of sales, so if she was going to bring affiliates on board she needed to do it in a way that was, ideally, free of charge and very simple.
Stripe doesn’t support an affiliate program very easily. But it does offer other functionality that we can leverage to make it work: Stripe lets you create lots of prices for one product.
