Semarang City Government Starts Operating Robot Service Communities
On Monday, May 10, 2021, the Robot created by the Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Team began to carry out service assignments in the Semarang City Government. Undip Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, SH., M.Hum handed over two robot units, each of which will later function as a Public Service Robot and a Health Service Robot, as well as a Plasma Technology Air Purifier (Zeta Green). The robot was handed over to the Mayor of Semarang Hendrar Prihadi, SE., MM in the Lokakrida Room, Moch lchsan Building, 5th floor of Semarang City Hall with strict health protocols.
Prof. Yos Johan said that the prototype was the result of robot development carried out by Undip such as the Graduation Robot. From the results of its development, the robot, which is the third generation, has better qualifications. The robot grant to the Semarang City Government is intended as a sign of support for the Semarang City Government to realize better services. This is one of the contributions of UNDIP considering that this campus is located in the city of Semarang and will never leave the city of Semarang.
