Capcom announces the fifth season of Street Fighter V with 5 new characters

Capcom has just broadcast the Street Fighter V "Summer Update" through Twitch and YouTube, the idea was to reveal the future of the game and they did it by announcing five characters for a fifth season that we would think would not come because the same studio told that there would be no more seasons in 2018.

The broadcast featured Takayuki Nakayama, director of Street Fighter V, and Shuhei Matsumoto, producer of the game, who revealed the four characters that will arrive over the course of a year and revealed that the latter is a surprise and will reveal it in due course.

The first character is Dan, a remembered parody character who was born as a response to the main characters in SNK's Final Fight. He has always been known for being "weak" in the style of Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat, but he clearly stands up to a capable player. It has been present in the main installments of the saga and now repeats arriving as DLC.

Dan will arrive in the winter of 2020 with a new scenario and in that same update four different skins packs will arrive, including those designed by fans. Balance shifts and a new, undisclosed combat mechanic will also arrive.
