Howdy! My name is Peter Snyder, and I am the "Senior Privacy Researcher and Director of Privacy" at Brave. I work on privacy-related research, designing and contributing to new privacy features, and working in the W3C to improve privacy in new Web proposals. At Brave I work under Ben Livshits and alongside an excellent team of other privacy-focused developers and researchers.
Before coming to Brave, I received my PhD from the University of Chicago at Illinois, studying under Chris Kanich. Before that, I was a contract developer for Web and iOS development. And before that, I briefly went to law school, until I realized Law and Order was a scam.
In my free time, I like playing tunes in bands (previously power-pop and chiptunes bands, now country-western covers), I bike and run, and I'm learning how to take care of dogs.
