A subreddit dedicated to VOIP, voip carriers, software, hardware, and anything that enables you to cut the cord. New and existing ways of taking Telecom to the new world.

If you're looking for a VoIP carrier, check out ClearlyIP or SignalWire. Both companies are very active in the Open Source community, and try to be good members of the whole ITSP community!

This has been an on and off issue for Bandwidth for the last three days. Confirmed by Bandwidth’s TAC team (through screenshots) that the original issue on Saturday was DDoS, the same TAC Manager has confirmed that yesterdays and todays issues are also the same DDoS attack

Sometimes I just stop and think, "why'd choose IT? I could have done something much less stressful, like brain surgery.. or lion taming?"

You and Google Voice, GoToConnect, voip.ms, and many many others. ClearlyIP uses them too and I know of several other providers that use them. I even think RingCentral is leveraged with them along too. I don't know about raw numbers, but I think Bandwidth is top 2-3 outside of ATT/Comcast.
