I have the idea for a survival based board game. It’s very new so still have to flesh it out so there’s not too much going on. Essentially set in a post apocalyptic world and your goal is to get from Point A (each scenario has a different starting point) to the settlement without running out of food, which is your recourse and represented by tokens. Each scenario may start you with different amounts of food. But the game doesn’t end when you run out of food. At that point, you move to the survival phase (placeholder name) where each player now has their own secret goal they’re trying to achieve. Every player will also have roles and traits that will define their goals and help or hurt with any random events that may come up on new tiles. Basically a real world implementation of how the old Fallout games generated their maps. In my head it’s a mix of Mansions of Madness, Betrayal, and the Oregon Trail. There could also be different survival setting like plane crash, or ship wreck that could be expansions.
