A battery should be replaced only by individual technicians with the knowledge and experience to repair electronic devices. If you replace this part, it's recommended to run Repair Assistant in order to finish the repair. Repair Assistant will be available on the device after you’ve completed all reassembly steps.

Connect the red connector of the 9-volt battery to the silver tab on the iPhone battery, and connect the black connector of the 9-volt battery to the lower right grounding screw on the bottom speaker.

Adhesive removal time may increase during the product’s life. Adhesive removal can be accomplished by applying up to 30 volts, using alternate power sources such as DC power supplies. Higher voltage application will result in faster removal times.
