An amazing new service that I’ve been waiting for ever since it was introduced in re:Invent 2020. Everyone is actually excited to try Amazon Proton but many of them are assuming that it replaces the job of a DevOps engineer. I would love to hear your thoughts regarding this.

I can offer the view of the service team - it's not the goal to replace DevOps engineers, but to empower them. DevOps engineers should be finding/promoting best practices, watching for platform health, addressing prod issues... not chasing updates/standards. Let Proton do that
