Samsung doesn’t officially support using the Galaxy Buds on Windows, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. A very enthusiastic developer over on reddit has decided to reverse engineer some of the software of the Galaxy Buds and has built an unofficial Windows app for managing the wireless headphones. Sounds crazy, right?

Samsung’s current app for this only allows you to check for updates for your headphones, but this unofficial app does a ton of stuff and effectively makes the headphones very integrated into your desktop PC. It even mimics Samsung’s One UI style of UX.

As of right now, this only works on Windows, and only works with the original Galaxy Buds, not the Galaxy Buds+. Support for newer headphones and other platforms might be coming in the future, but the initial release can only work with what the developer has.

The Android enthusiasm started with the original Motorola Droid, but the tech enthusiasm currently covers just about everything. He likes PC gaming, Lenovo's Moto Z line, and a good productivity app.
