On Wednesday (July 22), the startup communities in Taiwan and the Netherlands met in an online pitch contest co-organized by the Netherlands Office Taipei, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and the Taipei City Government. Sitting on the jury was, among others, Ted Chang, CTO of Quanta Computer Inc, the world’s largest contract manufacturer of cloud servers.

A total of six Dutch startups participated in the contest, including Dimenco, the developer of the world’s most advanced 3D display technology with no wearables required. Another startup, SecuMailer, provides GDPR-complaint and encrypted email solution, especially as Taiwan has applied for an GDPR adequacy status from the EU. Absolute Audio Labs, meanwhile, offers premium software solutions for hearing enhancement, and Roader Media offers cameras that captures video in the past.

Also among the startups was Orange Quantum Systems. Founded in Delft in 2020, Orange QS is a spin-off from the unique Quantum Delft ecosystem, offering the ability to integrate all components and processes to create quantum-based systems, differing from other companies that merely develop and manufacture quantum components.
