Hey all, Ernie here with a guest piece by a longtime friend of the site, Dr. Matt Lee, who you may also know as Mattl. He’s as big of a nerd as I am and when he heard the Z80 was getting shelved, he felt compelled to write about it—and I was compelled to give him digital column space. Anyway, have a read: Today in Tedium: Like me, you probably have used a Z80 CPU every day without realizing it. I, on the other hand, was fully cognizant that I was using a Z80 back in the day. Growing up as an Amstrad enthusiast, how could I not?
