CALIFORNIA Governor Gavin Newsom has announced that residents are "now REQUIRED to wear face coverings in public" due to coronavirus fears.
The new rule will be enforced starting June 18 and requires Californians to wear face coverings when social distancing is not possible, according to the Official California State Government website.
