In No Man's Sky, you'll find yourself jumping from star system to star system quite often. In order to do this, though, you'll need to have a Hyperdrive, which requires fuel. There are two ways to fuel a Hyperdrive: Warp Cells and Warp Hypercores.

In this guide, we'll outline all the ways to obtain both of these items, as well as anything you need to know about Hyperdrives and jumping systems.

Before you can think about fuelling your Hyperdrive, you'll need to make sure you have one in the first place. Your first ship when you start the game will not have one, but after this, most ships you find will have one pre-installed.

For your first Hyperdrive, you'll need to make your way through the opening quests to build it. Once you master how to build a base, you'll be told to visit a local Space Station, where one of the NPCs inside will point you toward a Distress Beacon. Visit this location and you'll find the blueprints for a Hyperdrive among the wreckage, specifically from the broadcast pod. The Hyperdrive requires 125 Chromatic Metal and five Microprocessors.
