WWE announcer Renee Young has confirmed that she has tested positive for COVID-19 during a post on her official Twitter account.

This news comes after it was reported today that there have been in the range of “two dozen” positive COVID-19 cases at the WWE Performance Center. This includes performers, production and staff too.

Renee Young’s husband, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, was announced to be missing tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite due to coming into close contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19. It can now be assumed that individual in question was Renee Young herself.

This awful news also comes on the back of the announcement that WWE Backstage on FS1 has been cancelled. The WWE Studio show hosted by the likes of Renee Young, Booker T, CM Punk and others was one of several studio shows axed by FOX this past week.

WWE Backstage had failed to draw in the ratings desired by FS1, leading to Renee Young once again appearing on Smackdown more frequently recently.
