Waymo now provides over 100,000 paid rides per week to the public. Across the San Francisco Bay Area, Metro Phoenix and Los Angeles County, our riders appreciate the safe and consistent experience of riding with a fully-autonomous driver that doesn’t get drowsy, drunk, or distracted.

“I didn’t have a driver’s license when I first came to SF, but I wanted to explore the city,” said Jaeden Sterling, a regular Waymo rider in San Francisco. “Knowing every ride is all-electric means I can explore the city I love and always travel sustainably."

Waymo’s shared mobility model means all-electric rides are available to everyone in our public service territories at the touch of a button, giving people new options for electrified transportation without needing to own an electric vehicle. As a result, Waymo is now preventing an estimated 135 tons of CO2 emissions weekly — a figure that’s ever-growing as we provide more trips.

Now, we’re going even further. Starting today, Waymo One riders that connect to select transit stations in San Francisco and the Peninsula will receive a $3.00 credit on their Waymo account for use on future rides. Credits will be applied to riders’ Waymo accounts when they take Waymo One to or from eligible Bay Area transit stations. This pilot program will run through November 15 and credits will be available for use until December 31, 2024.
