If you want to elope in Europe and surround yourselves with some of the most breathtaking scenery you’ve ever seen, then the Dolomites simply must be on your shortlist. While I could talk about how epic the Dolomites are for hours on end, today I’ll just start with 5 reasons why you should consider the Dolomites for your elopement.

Some locations lend themselves to summer or winter, but the Dolomites are amazing all year round. In the winter you’ll find some of the most picturesque ski resorts you’ve ever seen. Even if you’re not a skier or snowboarder, you’ll find yourself in a stunning wintery landscape that’s simply picture perfect. And in the summer you’ll be spoiled by turquoise mountain lakes and jagged mountain peaks.

Even though I love hiking, climbing and skiing with couples on their elopement days, I understand that not every couple wants a massive adventure on their wedding day. The Dolomites are amazingly accessible, meaning you don’t have to have a hike for miles to get amazing views. There are so many incredible locations a stone’s throw away from the roadside. Some of the most popular locations such as Lago di Braies and the Tre Cime can be reached by car or using a mountain lift.
