Microsoft's official Windows 10 support documentation has just added more fuel to the fire of rumors that quickly spreads around the upcoming big Windows announcement. On June 24, 2021, Microsoft plans to unveil "the next generation" of Windows, and many think it will be Windows 11. Although back in Windows 10's infancy, Microsoft made a bold statement claiming Windows 10 to be "the last Windows version," many rumors point to the fact the company wants to supersede Windows 10 with a new version. The updated Windows 10 support documentation backs those claims.

According to the official Windows 10 Home and Pro support page, Microsoft will end supporting Windows 10 Home and Pro on October 14, 2025.

What makes that information particularly odd is that the document mentions all Windows 10 releases as a single OS (from the initial release on July 29, 2015, until the latest LTSC.) Of course, at this moment, we can only speculate about the meaning of that information. But many can guess that Microsoft is on the verge of announcing a brand-new operating system. A recent post from prolific leaker Evleaks also claims that "the next generation of Windows" will be called Windows "11."

There is no official information from Microsoft regarding the name of the upcoming release. Still, we all can be 100% sure that the company is baking an update that will be much more significant than any previously released feature update for Windows 10. Even the metadata for the "Windows Application Management" page (now edited) mentioned Windows 10 and Windows Sun Valley (a code name for the upcoming release) as two separate operating systems.
