This specific article covers the black market of the trading of stolen/bootlegged/cracked certification courses from SANS/GIAC, EC-Council, and Offensive Security.

I found this in the main page of cracked.to, which offers torrent files to stolen and or leaked cybersecurity training courses. A full analysis is here.

A NIT is a term coined by the FBI as a Network Investigative Technique. The term was frequently used during the Playpen Busts, when a online child pornography website that was being run within the TOR network was raided by the Feds. The FBI then was granted a warrant from a Federal Judge to use a “Network Investigative Technique” by creating a malicious JavaScript-based payload (and associated WScript, AppleScript, and WebRTC code) to unmask the anonymity provided by the TOR proxy.

A Network Investigative Technique, or NIT, is a term used exclusively by the U.S. government to refer to the methods or tools it uses to access computers of individuals that have taken steps to obscure or mask certain identifying information, like an IP address.
