Jim Acosta, whose fame largely comes from annoying Trump, departed CNN in January, and like everyone else, now has a Substack and a YouTube channel.
Well, for some content, good ol’ Jimbo thought it would be a good idea to interview one of the victims of the Parkland school shooting who died in 2018.
Without a doubt, this bears repeating: this particular victim of the Parkland shooting was recreated through AI by his parents.
And how the hell could I ever pretend to even begin to empathize with parents who have arguably suffered the worst loss a person could ever go through: the death of their child?
I cannot claim or even pretend to guess how I might react in a similar situation. I just don't think that's right. I really don't.
To be clear, there are certainly times when you can and should judge people. I just have so much doubt regarding this situation that I'm going to refrain.
This has to be said because sometimes harmful truths are necessary: this isn't your son; this is your version of him, recreated, and it is taking agency away from your son.
