Our Australian Writers Centre offers retreats in Blue Mountains, NSW on the outskirts of Sydney. Henry Thoreau once said, “It is something to be able to paint a particular picture, or to carve a statue, and so to make a few objects beautiful; but it is far more glorious to carve and paint the very atmosphere and medium through which we look.” While looking for a Sydney writers centre that was conducive to writing I found most were formal and school-like. That compelled me to create a space that was more of a writers retreat, planted close to nature and delivering quiet and calm. Our online writing courses are available for those not able to do writing nsw, our residential writing courses offer a complete package of nourishing meals, writing activities, feedback, support and a private room to stay.
