CUBE is an app that leverages the latest iOS software and hardware features, including ARKit and LiDAR, to deliver real-time effects inspired by films and animations, letting you enjoy fun and engaging effects right on your phone.
Inspired by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, CUBE replicates the trail effect that appears when characters activate the Sandevistan implant.
The Japanese girl group Perfume showcased extensive use of point cloud technology in their Flow music video. Coincidentally, iPhones equipped with LiDAR can generate point clouds, which inspired me to create this effect.
Using real-time images and depth maps captured by the LiDAR Scanner, CUBE generates stunning 3D particles (point clouds) with up to 3,000,000 points. By blending these 3D particles with real-world scenes, you can step into a mesmerizing and surreal world.
