And if you're a Google employee, you probably know him for his cartoons satirizing life inside the company. His most famous sketch, which poked fun at the organizational structures of the tech giants, even helped convince Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to improve his company's culture.

Now, Cornet is leaving Google and publishing a new book filled with more cartoons lampooning the company he spent more than 14 years working for. Goomics Volume II is a sequel to his 2018 book and covers events inside Google spanning from 2015 to 2020. "I feel this volume overall is a lot more critical of the company," Cornet told Insider in an interview.

His cartoons take aim at everything from Google's chaotic product naming strategy to the recent implosion of its ethical AI group. Cornet's comics have often referred to niche company drama, but in recent years, Google's personnel problems and internal politics have increasingly spilled into public view.

Cornet's first book was subtitled 'Glitches in wonderland.' This one is titled "disillusionment," a reference to what he describes as a shift within Google toward being the very thing the founders feared: a conventional company.
