My Unix Journey | Welcome to BASIC
I've always been curious about Unix and BSD operating systems but I never had spare hardware to test it out. Most of my older computers run Linux and I currently have some with Mac OS. So I do have some experience with terminals. Recently I picked up an older ThinkPad to install FreeBSD.
I started blogging my journey living in the command line only with no GUI interface installed. I didn't want to fallback on any desktop environments or window managers, therefore I decided it was a good time to test out FreeBSD. Using a laptop with AMD architecture isn't ideal compared to Intel, this will be challenging because there is a lot of Intel documentation out there but not AMD. I hope it doesn't become an obstacle.
