Cachet Update - Oct 2024
Yeah... it's been a while, I'm sorry! As is always the way in life, things come up and something has to give to make space. Unfortunately, Cachet and Checkmango, my two projects were those things.
The biggest part of this was my promotion at Laravel. I'm now an Engineering Team Lead and that has taken up a lot of my time. I love my job and so I've been giving it my all. We're in a good place now and so we're back!
As we're already in October now, let's start with this. Hacktoberfest has always been a big part of Cachet, especially in the early days and I'm excited to bring this back to v3.x development and get new developers involved in what we're doing.
Last night, I added a bunch of issues to the cachethq/core repository. Most of them are small, good first issues and ideal candidates for people looking to get involved with Hacktoberfest.
Speaking of issues, I realise that not having an overview of issues for people to tackle has definitely been a blocker in getting other people to contribute and help push Cachet along.
