This automatic bubble robot can bring real fun for your summer. It really sounds like: Continuous supply of bubbles to its owner. The great thing is that the robot is made by a Reddit user (called LiquidPsycho) and is completely controlled by Raspberry Pi.

Like many Raspberry Pi projects, Bubble Bot made several iterations before reaching the final version shared on Reddit earlier this week. According to LiquidPsycho, a big (and interesting) problem is a noisy servo system that has been throwing bubble solutions everywhere. The manufacturer can solve this problem in the final code.

This DIY robot uses Raspberry Pi Zero and works by immersing the bubble stick in the bubble solution using a servo motor. Use the fan to blow bubbles. You can see its operation on Reddit.

LiquidPsycho provides a complete list of hardware used in the project. It uses servo, motor and relay board as well as 5V 2.1A mobile power supply. If the same hardware is used, since the mobile power supply is not enough to run everything used in the setup, a separate lithium-ion battery is required to power the motor. If you plan to build this robot yourself, you may need to consider other power sources.
