There is a time of day that we are sliding into our most productive selves. Our hormones required to feel productive are released based on circadian rhythms - What are these exactly? It’s the process of our body flowing into a rhythm in order for us to get work done.
This is when our brains are the more ripe for creativity, focus on meticulous work, or tackling issues requiring problem solving.
This also means that creative juice are most ripe at a certain point in the day. So utilizing that time to be most effective and creative means leaving more mundane ‘easy’ tasks that we enjoy completing - like email - until later in the day.
Simple examples are the Monday morning meetings we have. Sitting down for a team review on items that have not been deemed ‘important’ or require ‘immediate action’ are put on delay.
Meetings, emails, and how we structure our day should not be dictated by what is ‘standard’ in the office but rather what is optimized for our creativity and productivity.
