CARSON — A person was fatally stabbed Tuesday night during a confrontation outside an Albertsons grocery store in Carson.
The stabbing was reported about 6:45 p.m. at the store in the 100 block of East Carson Street, near Main Street, according to Sgt. Dwayne Javier of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Carson Station.
ABC7 reported that the stabbing occurred during a confrontation between a security guard and a shoplifting suspect and resulted in the suspect’s death, but neither Javier nor Koerner could immediately confirm the specifics of the station’s report.
