Samsung rivals Sonos with the release of its new TV boosting soundbars
Samsung's 4K and 8K TVs offer some of the best visuals in the business but now the firm also wants to boost the audio credentials of its televisions via some striking new soundbars. Hot on the heels of Sonos, who recently released its Arc surround speaker and already sells the hugely-popular Beam soundbar, the new Samsung sound boosters arrive packed with technology designed to bring a more immersive experience to your living room.
Samsung is boasting that its new S60T and S61T will provide the most natural room-filling sound with them both featuring dual-sided horn speakers and state-of-the-art acoustic beam technology.
This should help the sound move around and fill the room, eliminating the need for added speakers. The new gadgets also include Adaptive Sound, which helps Samsung deliver an optimised audio experience no matter what you're watching on the big screen.
That means whether you're viewing an action-packed movie or late-night TV show, the Adaptive Sound function analyses the audio in real-time to automatically enhance voice clarity, so if it is a quiet scene with voices low, the sound will be perfectly adjusted so users will be able to hear the everything clearly.
