I’m powering Starlink with an Inergy Flex 1500 Power station and three 1000 watt batteries, and wanted to know how much power Starlink actually uses, so I ran the test below.

This Inergy system is what I use to power my Sprinter van — you can find my build thread on that here. Here’s a video of the setup in my van:

I’ve got seven 100 amp hour (1000 watt hour) batteries in my van, but I don’t need that many in my casita to power Starlink and my laptop, so I just move the Flex 1500 and 3 batters from my van into my offgrid casita.

Starlink’s average usage seems to be about 60 watts. This means with 3,000 amp hours, I could power Starlink for 50 hours, as shown in this display:

When I’ve got everything plugged in, I use about 150 watts. Here’s a picture with my solar panels charging the Inergy system, and everything plugged in. With this setup I effectively have limitless sun-powered renewable energy and bandwidth from anywhere globally:
