Twitter to pause most hiring, executives flee ahead of Elon Musk's arrival

Brad Greenspan, a founder of one of the earliest social networking sites Myspace, argues it would have been easier for Elon Musk to create his own ‘Twitter clone' as opposed to purchasing the platform. 

Twitter will pause most hiring starting this week, while company executives leave the social media firm, a company spokesperson confirmed on Thursday.

"We are pulling back on non-labor costs to ensure we are being responsible and efficient," a Twitter spokesperson told FOX Business in a statement. 

Kayvon Beykpour, Twitter's general manager of the consumer division, and Bruce Falck, the revenue product lead, will both depart the company.
