Threatbutt - comprehensive internet hacking protections
Dearest "customers" and sycophants loyal fans, In 2015, we started Threatbutt with one goal in mind: make money and mock the state of the cybersecurity/infosec industry, particularly with the whole "threatening threaty threat" nonsense that was happening at the time. Seriously, how many companies had Threat at the beginning of their names at the time (and how many still do)? Something had to be done! And what better way to do that than to join the fray and poke fun at it? Over the course of the following few years, the company and its staff (at all levels) experienced some tremendous ups and downs, including joy, anger, fear, loss, and even self-discovery. We made as many poor decisions as we did good (and even hilarious) ones, and through all of it, we marched on as valiantly as we could. However, it became increasingly apparent that our ability to keep this gravy train a-rollin' was dwindling. To that end, we decided it was time to bring this chapter of our lives to a close. In the coming days (or weeks, because we get quite busy with "real life" we'll be sharing some information on how to procure the remaining "merchandise" that we have, with all proceeds going to a yet-to-be-determined charitable cause. Threatbutt has always been a labour of love, and we're delighted that we were able to bring even the slightest amount of joy and light into an industry that's often dark, hypercompetitive, and overflowing with snake oil.
