Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed for the second time this year, this time moving from its release date of September 17th to November 19th.

CD Projekt Red cited that “Cyberpunk 2077 is finished both content and gameplay-wise…but with such an abundance of content and complex systems interweaving with each other, CD Projekt Red needs to properly go through everything, balance game mechanics and fix a lot of bugs.

It was also said in the delay announcement that select Journalists around the world have already started to independently play Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red has stated that the previews from Journalists will go live after the airing of the Night City Wire of June 25th.

One thing to speculate is how this delay will affect what console players purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on since the PS5 and Xbox Series X are set the release somewhere around that time frame. Will players get the game on launch day for PS4 and Xbox One or will they wait until the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions launch a little while after?
