Super sleuths and wannabe spies can get inspired with a new escape room inspired by one of Cheltenham's most famous institutions.

Escape Rooms Cheltenham has revealed it will be opening a new GCHQ-inspired room in the town centre on June 25 as part of their new venue on Winchcombe Street.

‘Operation Foresight’ will be their first ever permanent escape room with ‘pop-up’ escape rooms that will run alongside for six months at a time.

The challenge is set in 1969 and requires players to form a task force to tackle the threat of organised crime in the UK, in the wake of the removal of the “Firm”, headed up by the Kray twins.

Megan Prendergast, product director of Escape Rooms Cheltenham said: “We wanted to create a must-do escape room unique to Cheltenham, that will attract players to the town, as well as be enjoyed by locals.

“We know our players like the regularly changing pop-up rooms, but we were able to invest much more into new features for this permanent room and we believe our players will love it!”
