Blue Goes Mew is the ex-girlfriend of Twitch streamer Reckful. The World of Warcraft streamer, whose real name is Byron Bernstein, died by suicide Thursday. Blue Goes Mew was the first to confirm the news, taking to Twitter on July 2.
“I… I’m at a loss right now,” she tweeted, not saying who it was at first. “Something I’ve been scared of happening for so long happened. I can’t stop crying. It’s so painful. Please no. Someone I love killed themselves. I wish I could have said something to prevent it… whyyyyyy. I keep thinking there’s something I could have said or done… I wish I reached out more.”
“Yes, it’s him. He’s gone,” she wrote, confirming Reckfuls death. “I’ve been having a panic attack for an hour. I don’t know what to do. Byron, I wish I could have helped you. We all do. I’m so sorry I couldn’t. Thank you for being a part of my life. Love you always.”
