Based on history, this never ends well for the users. Use services you can self-host, and are Free, Libre, and Open Source. Centralization is bad, you are placing all your data in one basket in which you do not own, and cannot control. You don't know what a company can and is doing with your data (and looking on history, this has never ended well). Always prefer FLOSS/FOSS (Free [Libre] Open Source) software/services, always prefer decentralization and federation. Centralization never ends well. Avoid dependencies like Cloudflare, Google, and others, in software which are privacy invasive, and are big players in censorship. Ideally privacy, and security above all other aspects when choosing a platform. Privacy is not all or nothing, and privacy is not be about hiding something, but losing something. Just because you give up your data to X company, doesn't mean you should continue giving it up, nor is that an excuse to give it up to other companies because you already give it up to one. Less data going to less places, slowly minimize as much as you can as time goes on.
