Clothing, food packaging, cleaning products – are you unknowingly absorbing, eating, and inhaling tiny pieces of plastic every day?

The term microplastic was first used in 2004 to describe small particles of plastic found around the UK coastline. Twenty years on, these fragments have been discovered in oceans, lakes, rivers, and living organisms.

It’s predicted that the contamination of microplastics in our environment could double by 2040. A new study has revealed microplastics in human reproductive fluid, raising serious questions about the impact on human health.
