Career Day — Odyssey

 I have gained so much through speaking with professionals through Odyssey, from networking in real-life situations to learning about what different careers could look like. I have learned more about business careers from Odyssey than in school, because of the detailed insights I am getting from professionals directly. I was able to learn about what a typical day looked like as an analyst at McKinsey or what skills were necessary to work in a hedge fund. Odyssey gave me an opportunity to connect with professionals that I never would have been able to and learn so much valuable knowledge from them.

Thank you Odyssey! Last semester, I joined Odyssey early on, but I was extremely afraid of attending any workshops or 1-on-1 meetings because I didn't have much experience with meeting them. But, over the few months, I have been building up my confidence to attend these meetings. Thank you for hosting these meetings! They give a bigger perspective on jobs!

I've really enjoyed all of the office hours I've been able to book with employers across different industries. I find that I can gain valuable advice from others, even if we have different backgrounds. It's been great connecting with people in such a space and having access to various resources. For instance, I connected with employers at 305 Fitness and received funding for the 305 certification! While I am still continuing my job search, I'm grateful for the opportunities that Odyssey has given me thus far. I think it's a great platform for students, like me, who are interested in so many things and need guidance as they launch their career journey.
