Techo builds the 'Ubuntu' Center for Young builders of art and culture in Chocó
This center, which has been financed with donations, will have spaces for visual arts, dance, music and theater activities
As part of the response to the call of families from Chocó that were affected by the floods at the end of 2020, Techo Colombia is building the 'Ubuntu' Center for Young Builders of Art and Culture in Condoto.
This center will have spaces for the development of plastic arts, dance, music and theater activities. The start of its construction began on June 2 and its inauguration is planned for the 20th of this month.
According to Techo Colombia, the young people of the Chocoano municipality expressed that for them art is life and this project is the materialization of it. The alliance to make it a reality took approximately four months to work and is financed with donations collected by digital platforms in favor of the emergency in Chocó and economic donations from allies such as Riaño producciones, Home Burgers, Cablecol, social and logistical support from the Foundation Taap, Colombia Take care of Colombia, Air Patrol, Bloomcup and Spectrum.
It is worth mentioning that the alliance is # JUNTOSPORCHOCÓ, in which different organizations, artists, doctors, companies and citizens participate. With the aim of helping the poor community in this department, it was decided to adopt five lines of action that include humanitarian aid, infrastructure, sustainable energy, health and peacebuilding through the arts.
