Video 'Strava Leaks' (2/3). Three of the world's most important leaders have been put in danger due to their security guards' use of the sports social media app Strava. In this second episode, we reveal how the current and former US presidents' lives are put in danger by the not-so-secret lives of Secret Service agents.

Arm in arm on the Champs Elysées, in shorts and a baseball cap, four American Secret Service (USSS) agents take a photo on the world's most beautiful avenue. They are in Paris to provide security for First Lady Jill Biden, who will represent the United States at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. But these agents are posting more than just tourist photos online.

They are all regular users of the sports social media app Strava. Using their phones or smartwatches, they record their running sessions and share them on the platform. They're not only sharing their performance, however; with each run, they reveal their geolocations to the world. In other words, they are unknowingly communicating their movements, including when on business.

And that's not all: In just a few clicks, we found out almost everything about the bodyguards' private lives thanks to their Strava profiles.
