Why did Tesla of India(Ola electric) catch fire? There are some reasons behind that - 1. Bhawesh Agarwal bought Netherlands startup "Etergo". Ola decided to replace AppScooter's removable battery with fixed rechargeable batteries. Ola made a lot of changes & no ready product. 2. Ola took $250M funding in 2019 from SoftBank. They had a lot of pressure on the market launch. But, Ola struggled with Battery Management System. They didn't have too much time for checking in all conditions. They decided to fix all the issues through Over The Air Updates. 3. Ola didn't retain their best talents. Their co-founders Ankit Bhati, Ankit Jain, Anand Shah & senior team left the company. The asynchronous knowledge transfer & continuous delays in market launch made the whole situation more complicated for Ola. 4. Ola did a lot of expansions in all trending sectors like food delivery(acquires Food Panda for $200M), grocery delivery(Ola Store), cloud kitchen(Ola Foods), and 10-minute delivery(Ola Dash). It was very hard for them to create a laser focus on Ola Electric. 5. Ola faced corporate management issues also. When an employee of Ola Electric left, Ola Cabs shift their employees to Ola Electric. This created project management issues.  These are all reasons for Ola Electric's delays and failure.
