While the number of coronavirus cases in the city of Mumbai has been increasing exponentially there are some areas which were earlier marked as hot spots. Dharavi and Worli which have shown drastic improvement and the number of cases have reduced over the last few weeks. However, on the other hand, there are several areas in the northern part of Mumbai have now become the new hot spots for Coronavirus. 

Data released by the BMC as of June 22, 2020, shows that Ward K-East - which comprises of Andheri (East), Vile Parle (East) and Jogeshwari (East) - has the most number of cases. So far 4,746 cases have tested positive in Ward K-East, out of which 2,591 cases are active and 2,125 patients have been discharged. 

On the other hand, Ward K-West - which comprises of Andheri (West), Vile Parle (West) and Jogeshwari (West) - is the third-highest with 3,997 cases, out of which 2,175 cases are active in 1,799 cases have been discharged

BMC report states that across Mumbai, two wards (KE and GN) have more than 4,000 COVID-19 cases. Meanwhile, 12 wards with more than 3,000 cases, six have more than 2,000 cases, four have more than 1,000 COVID-19 cases and two areas have less than one thousand COVID-19 cases.
