I'll be happy to share some "behind the scenes" stories here, and more pictures there. 26 Sep 2024 • I just returned from a field recording session in Iceland. These trips are always an exciting opportunity to capture new sounds, but for me, they offer something different too: space for reflection. Away from the studio and the constant stream of emails, these long hikes give me time to think about the bigger picture—where myNoise is headed; what lies ahead for this project I’m dedicating so much of my heart to.
This time, though, I felt a sense of worry creeping in. myNoise has always relied on the core principles of the “good old internet”—a place where quality content could thrive freely, without ads, without exploiting user data. myNoise swims upstream against the current internet trends, and while I’ve always believed this was the right way to go, I’m starting to doubt.
