Despite being fully vaccinated, a Michigan couple on Sunday died one minute apart from coronavirus after being tested positive for the virus earlier this month. According to the report, 59-year-old Cal Dunham and his wife Linda, 66, had preexisting complications and were extremely cautious regarding COVID-19.

Dunham and his wife were both fully vaccinated and had been doing well for months until they began to feel sick again during a family camping trip this month. Sarah Dunham, the couple’s daughter, took her parents to the hospital, and doctors placed them on ventilators. However, doctors told Sarah last Sunday that there wasn’t much more they could do. As a result, the couple would likely need to come off life-support Monday.

Moments later, the couple was wheeled into the same room where Cal passed away at 11:07 a.m. Less than a minute later, at 11:08 a.m., Linda, as well, died beside her husband. On their death bed, the couple held hands beside one another.

According to Sarah, Linda jokingly used to tell her husband that he would die before her. And she promised to be right behind him. “She always joked and said, ‘well, you’re going to go before I am; I’ll be right there behind you, I promise.’ And she really was, like she really was right there behind him.”
